Like I said, still learning my new gear. No tripod. The moon and cloud photos were taken with the camera sitting on top of my buddies truck in my driveway at 3 am!

for not having a tripod, i'd say those all turned out pretty bad ass. i've taken some long exposure shots over the years by just resting the camera on different things and it can be a total crap shoot. one thing that might help is to set your timer on. that eliminates the chance that your camera will shake while you're pressing the shutter button.

Thanks Johnny. Yeah, I took more last night and accidentally put the timer on. Started freaking out because I couldn't see that I put it on till I looked at the lcd screen, then thought about what you're saying after I got done shooting. Preciate the pointers bro!
